Qudsia recently completed her graduation from COMSATS university as a Software Engineer and currently she is working at o3interfaces (partners of UBL) as a full time iOS developer. We had a fun interactive session with Qudsia.
Q: Hey Qudsia, Can you tell us a little about your Swift Journey?
A: I started swift back in 2018. One day while thinking about my final year project, me and my friend decided to do something different and we planned to go for iOS development. From here my journey for swift had started. My greatest motivation for this is its uniqueness from other languages. I started learning and implementing things. My first project was a weather forecast app which I developed just for learning purpose.
Smart Recommender is an iOS application developed using swift as my final year project. In this project, I targeted different famous brands and got their products in single application. Most importantly project UI has been designed programmatically. I love designing UI programmatically as I don’t like storyboards much.
Q: What’s your biggest dream in the domain of iOS?
A: From so many dreams, one of my dreams is to go for WWDC. I applied this year, but I got rejected. For this, I developed a playground by utilising CoreML and CreateML in which I created my own model which take an alphabet and returns different countries name (Not a great idea but I just tried). I’m really enthusiastic to apply again next year.
Q: Other than iOS, What do you like to do in your free time?
A: Beside all this, I love two things the most one is travelling and second is cats. I have two Persian cats. In my free time I love to spend time with my cats. Travelling is another favorite thing of mine, I love to go out explore new things, new places, meet different people.
